Macedonia
As a former junior and pro player Damjan competed in Macedonia and Europe, and as a coach he has worked at both clubs and resorts with students of all ages and abilities. After achieving the GPTCA (Global Professional Tennis Coach Association) ATP Certified International Coach status, he was motivated to try coaching internationally and worked for Patricio Travel and Sunball Tennis, Europe’s two largest tennis holiday management companies. With them Damjan gained experience in teaching and tennis programming at five-star luxury resorts and hotels, such as Ali Bey Resort Sorgum and Gural Premium Belek in Turkey, and Italy’s Verdura Resort, a Rocco Forte Hotel. In Peter Burwash International, Damjan found the opportunity to combine his passion for coaching, his love of travel and different cultures and his business education.
As his first assignment for PBI, Damjan had the opportunity to be Tennis Director at One&Only Desaru Coast, the most prestigious resort in Malaysia and one of the high end brands of resorts in the world.
Damjan’s goal is to help each guest and member get the most out of each tennis experience and he is delighted that PBI’s training and concepts, developed over 40 years, make him well-equipped to succeed.
